Kiwanians are you and I. They are everyday people who spend a small amount of their time volunteering for charities and not-for-profit organizations, helping to make our community a better place to live, work and play. Kiwanians come from all walks of life. Many of our members are busy men and women who go out of their way to help the less fortunate.
The Gravois Kiwanis Club has grown significantly since its establishment in 1937 from a small group of ambitious members helping the young and the old, into a large respected local club. Through the years our club has helped numerous organizations fullfill their needs, helping families cope with losses, delivering goods to the needy during the holidays, and supporting children’s programs including Kiwanis Camp Wyman.
Gravois Kiwanians are known as innovators and have a reputation of being aggressive and progressive in their way of getting things accomplished. Gravois Kiwanians use a variety of unique fund raising activities to support our growing community needs. Helping the poor, the needy and young children through the years has brought a lot of gratitude, joy and memories. The legacy of the Gravois Kiwanis Club continues today. Our dedicated members and their families enhance the lives of the less fortunate and the needy on an on going basis. The Gravois Kiwanis has and will continue to work hard building the tradition of helping others.
What We Do
Through Kiwanis membership, individuals can give of themselves – their experience, knowledge, time, and love – to those who need them most. As a Kiwanian, a relatively small amount of your time, can make a big difference in someone’s life.
Members work in unison on every event. Every year we come up with new and diverse fund raising events. You may have a unique fund raising event to share with our club.
Some of our current events include…
- Trivia Night
- $ 5000 Give Away
- Golf Tournament
- Steak Raffle
- Old Newsboys Day
- Salvation Army Tree of Lights
Who We Help
