THE SEWING MACHINE PROJECT

Gravois Kiwanis has added a new project for our club. We are joining a partnership with an established organization the “Sewing Machine Project” in Columbia MO. We will be collecting donated used sewing machines, any brand, any model, any condition, any type, portable, with or without cabinet, or whatever. We will get it picked up.  We then send them to our partner, Sewing Machine Project in Columbia where a trained team will refurbish them so they work like new. The machines are then boxed and packed with fabric, needles, scissors, thread and other sewing notions and shipped to  needy folks in developing countries worldwide so they can make clothes for their family or start a small business thus ending poverty stitch by stitch.

For pickup call: Lorin Dressel – 314-546-3080 or                                                         – email -lgdressel@att.net
